Urgent repairs

Most garage door calls are schedule-later repairs. Three of them aren't: the car is trapped inside, the door is stuck open and the house can't be secured, or the door is hanging in a way that isn't safe to be near.
The three that can't wait
- Car trapped: a dead door with the car inside is a work-morning problem
- Stuck open: an unsecured garage is an open invitation to the whole street
- Unsafe to be near: a door crooked on one cable or hanging off the track under spring tension is a hazard
What to do
Send the form and say which of the three it is: the crew that takes it treats an open-and-unsecured door differently than a tune-up. Don't force the door in the meantime; forcing it makes the repair bigger.
After-hours reality
Emergency and after-hours calls can carry premium rates, and the crew tells you that before starting. If it can safely wait until morning: door closed and locked, car outside: say so and they'll book you in a normal slot.
